STEPHEN CLYNE

Operator & Pitching Instructor

Coach Clyne currently holds Clemson’s record for most consecutive scoreless innings pitched in a season at 33.1. Additionally, he is 6th all time in appearances in a single season (31), while only surrendering 2 HR’s in over 100 innings at Clemson.  Clyne finished his collegiate career with an ERA of 2.85, a fastball that topped out at 97 MPH and one of the best-rated sliders in his draft class. Clyne would later be drafted in the 3rd round (123rd overall), by the New York Mets in the 2007 MLB Draft.   

After professional baseball, Coach Clyne took over as the lead pitching instructor at Players Edge Baseball Academy where he developed pitchers of all ages from little leaguers to professionals.  In 2016, Coach Clyne started the TBT Ballers and with the help of his team the organization is now one of the most recognized in the country.  The program is now a national powerhouse with over 70 teams across the US.  In 2019 Clyne opened TBT Training which is recognized as one of the premier facilities for development in the US.  Some of the best talent across MLB, college, and youth baseball train at the facility.

Coach Farrell was drafted by the New York Mets in 2001 out of Briarcliff College. As a LHP he topped out at 95 MPH. Coach Farrell brings over 20 years of experience developing pitchers. He has one of the most reputable velocity, arm care, and pitching programs in the country. Coach Farrell has developed more than 100 pitchers that have gone to play at the collegiate level and 5 that have gone to play in pro ball.

SEAN FARRELL

Director of Pitching

Coach Sharkey attended Coral Springs High School as he began his varsity season as freshman. Coach Sharkey was 1st team all-county 3 years in a row. He holds the hit record of 136. Coach Sharkey led his teams to 3 straight district titles from 2010-2013. In his Colts career, he had a .437 batting average. As a senior, he committed to Nova Southeastern University under Greg Brown but did not attend as he was drafted and signed by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 13th round in 2012.

Coach Sharkey spent 5 years with the Brewers. During his professional career, he played in the Arizona, Pioneer, and Midwest league. In 2016 he made two errors in 71 games at 1st base. In those 5 years, he learned from some of the best hitting and fielding instructors to teach the game. After being released by the Brewers in 2016 Sharkey took his knowledge from what he learned throughout his professional career and has shared it with young talented athletes. Sharkey has trained many top players in the country. In 2021 & 2022 he won a National Championship and currently managing 2026 TBT Nationally Ranked team.

COLLIN MARTINDALE

Director of Scouting and Recruiting

Collin is our National Scouting and Recruiting Director.  He is heavily involved in the college recruiting process. Collin has sent guys to all five Power 5 conferences among many more mid-level conferences. Collin has also coached three 1st round draft picks and over thirty draft picks over the last three years. 

Collin Martindale’s high school career was played at Flanagan High School in Pembroke Pines. His final two years, Flanagan was a combined 45-5 and went on to win a State and National Championship his senior year. After high school, Martindale went off to Felician University in New Jersey. After college he got into the coaching scene by going back to his alma mater. He has also coached at West Broward HS and Elite Squad Baseball Academy.

DERRICK REDDY

Hitting Instructor

Derek graduated from Xaverian Brothers High School in 2011 in Westwood, MA and attended Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, NH graduating in 2016 with a sports management degree. While at Franklin Pierce, Derek was a 2-sport athlete, playing both baseball and football. After graduating, he signed an independent league contract with the Puerto Rico Islanders in the Empire League and was later traded from the Islanders to the Sullivan Explorers. In 2018, Derek signed with Ruidoso Osos in the PECOS League where he batted .338, had a .461 OBP, and had 32 stolen bases. In 2019, he was named MVP of the PECOS League with the High Desert Yardbirds after batting .342, with a .516 OBP, and going 50-51 in the stolen base department. He also led the league in runs scored with 95, 18 more than 2nd place.

Derek was later promoted to the Milwaukee Milkmen in the American Association, where he was the leadoff, everyday centerfielder. In 2020, he spent the COVID year playing in the Yinzer Baseball Confederacy for the Road Warrior Black Sox, with a perfect 15-15 in stolen bases and a .427 OBP. Derek signed with the Washington Wild Things for the 2021 season. He started the season with them before quickly being asked to sign with the Milwaukee Milkmen again in the American Association. He later went on to finish the season with the Lexington Legends in the Atlantic League, which is widely regarded as the best independent league in the country.

Derek retired this off-season after 5 very successful full seasons in independent baseball. He was hired by TBT on April 1, 2022, to help run the advanced hitting program.


JESUS BLANCO

Youth Hitting & Pitching Instructor

I played in the minor league with the New York Yankees from 1997-1999 and with the Anaheim Angels from 1999-2002. I also played in the Venezuela Professional Baseball League with the “Leones de Caracas'' from 1999-2003. After this, I represent Ecuador in the “South American Championship of 2012” in Guayaquil Ecuador obtaining the silver, and in the “Bolivariano 2013” in Lima Peru obtaining the bronze. I have also represented this country in softball winning the championship home run in the “South American Softball Championship 2016” in Bogota Colombia and also obtained a Championship in doubles at the “South American Softball Championship 2018” in Monteria Colombia. I worked for 13 years as a coach on “Colegio Americano de Guayaquil” where I have won many titles with the 12u, 13u, 14u, 15u, and 16u. Specialist in coaching hitting, fielding, and catching.

My name is Jesus Blanco. Juco /NAIA player. I graduated from St. Thomas University with my degree in Criminal Justice. I have two kids and married. I currently work with TBT.
